ARREST MADE IN THE SHOOTING DEATH OF JAMAL WILSON
IN THE UNIT BLOCK OF P STREET, NW
(Washington, DC) Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced today that an arrest has been made in the homicide of 19 year-old Jamal Wilson. On Sunday, November 14, 2010, at approximately 12:30 am, units from the Fifth District responded to the unit block of P Street, NW, to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival they located a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded and transported the victim to a local area hospital where the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
On Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at 2:40 pm, members of the Homicide Branch and the Fifth District arrested 19 year-old Kwan Kearney of Northeast, Washington DC, and charged him with First Degree Murder while Armed in the shooting death of Jamal Wilson.
