Lots of little businesses opening up in our area. Hoorah! Did someone say Happy Hour?
Washington, D.C., November 17, 2010 – Tynan Coffee & Tea, a locally owned café and lounge, opens its third location today in NoMa at Constitution Square. As DC’s fastest growing neighborhood, NoMa continues to attract a vibrant mix of local and national retailers. Tynan brings a contemporary take on the neighborhood coffeehouse to the community.
“We’re proud to be a part of the NoMa redevelopment and the revitalization of this historic neighborhood as a destination for Washingtonians to live, work and play,” said Jim Sullivan, of Clover Management Services Corporation, co-founder and owner of Tynan with his brother Brian Sullivan.
Tynan serves locally sourced pastries and bagels, fresh fruit, homemade waffles, sandwiches and soups. In addition to breakfast options and coffee, Tynan also offers happy hour specials with a selection of local wines and domestic beers. The mostly craft beer list includes choices ranging from the well known Sam Adams Boston Lager to a Clipper City Marzen from Baltimore, and the Smuttynose IPA from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The wine selection hails from Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard in Dickerson, Maryland, an award-winning local vineyard that specializes in Bordeaux-style wines. The wines include a chardonnay, circe, cabernet sauvignon and a stomp.Tynan is located at at 1275 First Street, NE, and will celebrate its grand opening December 1.

Looks like a CVS will also be going in right in that area (across the street from Potbelly). Don’t know the opening date but have seen the CVS logo.
