The location of the Tuesday, January 25, 2011 emergency meeting has been changed to the Metropolitan Wesley AME Zion Church at 1712 North Capitol Street, NW. Councilmember Thomas is holding this meeting in partnership with the Fifth Police District and North Capitol Main Street, Inc.
The meeting is in response to the shooting death of Bloomingdale resident Bill Mitchell, Jr. on Wednesday, January 19th. A vigil at the site of the shooting will be held at 6 pm, prior to the community meeting.
