My wife and I are interested in attending; where are the meetings held?
My apologies, Mt. Sinai Church on 3r ST NW and Q ST NW I look forward to seeing you there.
Since it is dark at 7PM in the fall/winter months, myself and my neighbors are afraid to walk at night to the BACA meetings. I live on Bates Street and although the distance is not far, the crime in the neighborhood is too prevalent to make that walk. I wish there was a better meeting time. Any thoughts?
Pamela – I totally understand the concern of walking at dark. We had considered holding the meetings on Saturdays during the day but most folks preferred a week day as most city workers may not be able to come to our meetings on weekends. 7pm seems to work best for most evening meetings (ANC, Police Service Area, N. Capitol Main Street) because of folks getting home from work. I spoke to some neighbors and several of us walk together. If you would like to join a group, please email me directly and I will put you in contact with the neighbors that walk together.
