CVS Now Open in NoMa
Washington, D.C., January 18, 2011 – CVS opened on January 16th at 1200 First Street, NE, further solidifying the intersection at First and M Streets, NE, as the heart of the new NoMa. The store offers a pharmacy, snacks, drinks, greeting cards, cosmetics, toiletries and more.
Retail offerings continue to grow in NoMa, with 16 new retailers choosing to open here in the last three years. Eight new shops and restaurants opened in 2010 alone, including DC’s largest Harris Teeter, Potbelly Sandwich Works, Georgetown Valet, TD Bank, 7-11, Café Phillips, Tynan Coffee & Tea, and Constitution Café.
CVS kicks off a second wave of restaurants and shops in 2011. Roti Mediterranean Grill opens in late February in Constitution Square (1275 First Street, NE). In April, Chef Todd Gray’s Watershed Restaurant opens at the Hilton Garden Inn, bringing seafood from the Eastern seaboard. Later in the year, Chef Gillian Clark will open Kitchen on K Street in the Loree Grand at 250 K Street, NE.
