Subject: What Are We Doing With Kids Who Kill and Commit Other Crimes?Juveniles continue to drive the crime rate in the District of Columbia. What provisions does the District have to deal with juvenile crime and are they working? We will have a roundtable discussion with Neil Stanley, Interim Director of the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services and hear his vision for moving the agency forward. Councilmember Phil Mendelson will also participate in this discussion regarding the juvenile crisis in the District of Columbia. Do you believe parents should be held accountable for their children who commit violent crimes and other offenses?

This discussion will not be complete without your participation; we really need to hear from You. This roundtable discussion will convene at the 5D Court Watch meeting on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. The location is the community room in the Fifth District Police Headquarters, located at 1805 Bladensburg Road, NE. Do not miss this opportunity to be heard.
