North Capitol Main Street Art Walk – Homes Needed on First ST for Art Displays

 Dear Resident of First Street,

On Saturday, August 7,North Capitol Main Streetand the Pink Line Project will host the second annual North Capitol Main Street Art Walk, featuring sculptures displayed in the yards of our neighbors on1st StreetbetweenP StandRhode Island.

We had several neighbors to commit to hosting sculptures and hope to have more neighbors participate. It’s free to be involved, NCMS covers all costs, including insurance and installation, and Pink Line does all the work. All you have to do is provide your contact info so we can coordinate the installation, and of course, be willing to “host” a piece of art!

If you have questions or want to know more about the sculpture that could be displayed in your yard, please don’t hesitate to contact me at gbonilla@hospicemanagement.com  or at 202-255-3312.

Your yard would be an excellent addition to our outdoor “gallery.” If you were in the neighborhood last August, you might remember the 1st annual event—400 attendees, great music, cool art, free drinks and a really nice, community vibe.

North Capitol Main Streetis a non-profit organization dedicated to investing in our local businesses to better serve our community. The Pink Line Project is well known for promoting DC artists through creative activities. So, by being involved, you would be part of a cool event and two worthy causes!

I hope you’ll agree to participate in the festivities this year and look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,

Geovani A. Bonilla

President, Bates Area Civic Association and Member, NCMS Board
