Note that the proposed redistricted map with its new single member districts now goes to Councilmember Thomas and the DC Office of Planning.

The Ward 5 map that received the most task force votes last night — has six commissions in Ward 5.

Note that the Bates area would all be part of the same commission, which is nice. The Bates area would end up in the same commission as Eckington.

But it would be in a different commission than most of Bloomingdale.

And commissioners from Brentwood and Ivy City would be able to — for example — vote on liquor license issues in the Bates area.
