Bates Area Residents and Adherents! See this message regarding this Sunday afternoon`s two eating contests on the unit block of T Street NW — part of the Three Communities Festival/First on First event! Fun times for sure.
First on First Eating Contest
When: Sunday October 7th.
Time: 5:30 pm (right after the drawing for the scavenger hunt, which you should have done by now)
Where: Unit Block of T street NW (T street between First street NW and North Capitol Street NW)
We are now accepting contestants for the “First Annual Wing Eating Contest” and “Second Annual Pizza Eating Contest”.
Anyone who is interested please send an email to firstonfirst2012 @ gmail.com. Do you love wings? Pizza? Do you love our neighborhood? Tell us why we should pick you? No need for a college acceptance essay, just a few lines on why you should be in this contest.
Rules and Prizes:
Wings eating contest:
-All contestants will have 25 wings in front of them and 10 minutes worth of time:
-First to finish all wins!
-If no one has finished all wings within 10 minutes, the one with the most downed wins.
-Don`t even try to have half eaten wings, the judge WILL drop the hammer on you.
Prizes: $25 gift certificate to Boundary Stone, One bottle of High West Double Rye Whiskey and One bottle of Milagro tequila
Pizza eating contest:
-All contestants will have 3 plain cheese pizzas in front of them and 10 minutes worth of time.
-First to finish all wins!
-If no one has finished all three pizzas within 10 minutes, the one with the most downed wins.
– Pizza crust left on the plate counts as an unfinished pizza. Yup, there will be judges.
Prizes: $25 Gift Certificate to Rustik Tavern, One bottle of High West Double Rye and One bottle of Milagro tequila.
