Office of Planning’s NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGS
The DC Office of Planning’s (OP’s) Small Area Plan will develop goals and recommendations for Historic Resources and Conservation, Parks and Open Space, Commercial/Retail Revitalization, Redevelopment and Housing, Sustainability and Stormwater, Urban Design and Public Realm, and Connectivity. Come to focus area meetings in June to learn about existing conditions analysis and discuss specific goals and opportunities for the plan.

Concurrent with OP’s small area planning effort, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is developing strategies for the neighborhood streets of Mid City East to provide safe pedestrian and bicycle access to transit and community amenities; reduce cut-through traffic and speeding on local neighborhood streets; and enhance landscaping to minimize stormwater runoff. Look for DDOT’s Mid City East ZipVan and participate in streetside planning and design on June 7 and June 8.
