We are excited to offer $10,000 grants for projects modeled after our successful Soul of the City program for a second straight year!
Soul of the City is the Humanities Council’s youth program that teaches leadership through the humanities disciplines. Participants use the city as both classroom and laboratory as they learn about DC’s local, national, and international dimensions, and what it means to be a Washingtonian!
Grantee projects are expected to reflect these and other core concepts of the Soul of the City program. Prospective grantees are strongly encouraged to attend one of our free grants workshops to better understand the grant’s requirements, and to learn about our application process. April 15, 6:30-7:30pm – Humanities Council Office
The Soul of the City Grant is funded in part by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. Find out more.
