Coming Soon: Playable Art in NoMa

Playable Art DC, a play and place making initiative of the DC Office of Planning (OP) is looking to bring an innovative art-based play structure to NoMa! After a competitive application process, NoMa was one of three areas selected to host a play installation. The intended site is the pocket of grass to the east of the Metropolitan Branch Trail between L and M Streets, NE.  Kennedy Street and the Mount Vernon Triangle were the other selected locations.

Representatives from Playable Art DC will be at NoMa Summer Screen on Wednesday, June 18 to present on this initiative and gather input from the community on what elements to incorporate in the play structure. Come at 7 PM before the movie starts to take a survey and let your voice be heard!

About Playable Art DC: Playable Art DC promotes the use of art as a means of creating new types of play spaces in areas that are constrained by space, topography, or busy streets. Playable Art DC seeks to engage the whole community in play, promote fitness and exercise, and create community landmarks and neighborhood gathering spots. It is made possible by a grant from ArtPlace America.
