Let the record reflect that no challenge was ever initiated by Joyce Robinson-Paul and the challenge and reissued challenge on August 18th was requested by Bradley Thomas. The pre-hearing was held on Friday, August 22nd and revealed that there were adequate signatures to be on the ballot in November.
As we all know, “Proactive” is a moniker of Joyce Robinson-Paul. As to the record, let it more accurately reflect that Ms. Robinson-Paul filed only 29 nominating signatures, seven of which were challenged for various legitimate reasons, and that the preliminary finding of the Board of Elections was that five of the seven challenges are upheld, leaving Ms. Robinson-Paul with only 24 valid signatures. Ms. Robinson-Paul has since provided a letter purportedly from one of the challenged nominators which, if valid, would bring her total number of valid signatures to the bare minimum of 25 needed to get her name on the ballot. Let it further be stated that It is my position that it is every citizen’s duty to ensure that the rules are applied equally to all candidates.
