Dear Amigos of Mundo Verde, How do you celebrate this season? Over the winter break Mundo Verde families and staff celebrate holidays and participate in family traditions in a myriad of ways– all representative of the rich and diverse make-up of our community. This is also traditionally a season for giving. In this spirit, we invite you, some of our closest and earliest supporters, to make the most of a unique opportunity: we have been challenged to raise $10,000 in two weeks. If we achieve it, a generous donor will match every donation made in the next two weeks. We know you can help us make the most of this challenge!
How can you help?
❑ Make a year-end donation: double-up your giving with this generous matching by Giving Here Now or by sending your dated donation in the mail by January 5. ❑ Join our CrowdRise fundraiser: Share this challenge with your own community via email and social media. Ask them to give to Mundo Verde (see how here)! As you may know, Mundo Verde is in the middle of a Campus Campaign to finish the construction of our new green home. A home in which we will serve over 500 DC children each year with rigorous hands-on expeditionary learning curriculum, dual language immersion, and sustainability education. A home with spacious, light-filled classrooms, learning gardens and outdoor classrooms, warm inviting spaces for art classes, community events, movement classes like yoga, dance and PE, and even a library and media Center.
This challenge will turn $10 into $20, $50 into $100, and $500 into $1,000 and will bring us closer to realizing the vision for our school’s home. As the season turns, we wish you a time of memorable moments filled with joy, fun, and warmth and some well-deserved rest. With best wishes for the New Year,
