Arrests Made in Armed Robbery (Gun):

Unit Block of New York Avenue, Northwest

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District Detectives Office announced that two arrests have been made in an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense, which occurred in the unit block of New York Avenue, Northwest, on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at approximately 7:30 pm.

The victim was approached by four suspects who surrounded him. One suspect brandished a handgun while another opened the victim’s bag and took personal belongings and cash.  Then all suspects fled the location.

On Wednesday, February 17, 2016, 20-year-old Robert Horton, of Northwest, DC, and 26-year old Nicholas Freeman, of Laurel, Maryland, were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).

The investigation is continuing.
