On behalf of the Centenarian Celebration Committee, this is to invite you to participate in a historic event. The Dunbar Alumni Federation is sponsoring a Luncheon at the historic Dunbar High School, 12 Noon to 3:00 p.m. for the Beloved Centenarians of the historic Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. The luncheon will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016. The program will feature an elegant catered lunch, music by Bobby Felder and The Blue Notes, greetings from very important people, photographs, citations and gifts.
You are invited to join us in this celebration by identifying Centenarians (100 plus) and Nonagenarians(90 plus) in your neighborhood who are Dunbar alumni, ensuring the attendance of members of your congregation at the event. Sponsorship is $100 person in the honor of our Centenarians to raise funds for scholarships for 2016 Dunbar graduating seniors. Invited guests include distinguished Dunbar alumni Eleanor Holmes Norton and he former D.C. Mayor Vincent C. Gray.
Phillip Portlock, well known videographer of the Dunbar Legacy series, has been commissioned by DAF to interview and capture for posterity the “pearls of wisdom” and “life lessons” our Centenarians want to share with others. We trust you will assist us is making this event the memorable moment intended for our Beloved Centenarians.
