An Evening with Jonathan Grinham
Join us in welcoming Jonathan Grinham as our visiting maker on Friday, May 13th, from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Light refreshments will be served.
Jonathan Grinham is a Doctoral Candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) where his research explores design strategies for micro-vascular thermoregulating building materials. The work looks at the convergence of emerging microscale technologies and novel fluid-flow designs for heating and cooling in buildings. Jonathan’s other research interests track themes in responsive environments, robotics, computation, and fabrication workflow automation. While at the GSD Jonathan works as the project coordinator for the ALivE Group, a collaboration with the Adaptive Material Technologies Platform at the Wyss Institute, and as a research assistant at the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities. Jonathan previously taught at Catholic University School of Architecture in Washington, DC and worked with Studio 27 Architecture.
