| As announced on Urban Turf, our team was recently selected by the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development to develop the site at the corner of Bates Street and North Capitol Street. Consistent with our commitment to green design, the building will be a Net-Zero project. Plus, all 15 apartments will be affordable units with a restaurant and a community-serving retail space on the ground floor. We are pleased that the DC government selected our team for this precedent-setting project. |

We are happy to share photos (hot off the press!) of our latest project in San Francisco – an urban destination in the heart of the Mission District. We converted an old retail space on 24th Street into a new coffee shop. The east wall facing the BART station plaza has long been a landmark in the Mission’s street art scene. Since the wall is an important backdrop, we knew that we wanted to maintain it, but we also wanted to open up the cafe to the public plaza. This was achieved by creating a horizontal window at eye level and a sliding barn door in the graffiti wall. The result is a colorful and lively coffee shop that interacts with the BART Plaza to become a lively public space. (Photos by Blair Heagerty) |
