Subject: Bloomingdale SDWMR Project Updates and Community Meeting
We are at the end of the Small Diameter Water Main Replacement project for the Bloomingdale community. The majority of the work has been completed for the project. We are scheduled to finish the last two water service connections on Adams Street today. Next week we will be focused on cleanup activities which include the abandonment of old valves, fire-hydrants, etc.; temporary road restoration; final street cleaning for the project locations; and the removal of barriers and fencing to reopen First Street from Michigan Avenue to Rhode Island Avenue. We will reopen First Street on Thursday, February 9th after the completion of the cleanup activities. The conclusion of these activities is dependent upon the weather.
We are planning a final community meeting on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at St. George’s Episcopal Church. The meeting will be held to discuss the remaining punch list items and final restoration, among other items. The meeting flyer is attached.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this project. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
