Watch this Australian documentary titled “In the Chocolate City.”

One of the people interviewed is Bloomingdale resident and author Natalie Hopkinson.

  1. This was horrible and put this city in a terrible light. Portrayed the black people of this city as just a bunch of unemployed, drug dealing/taking people waiting around to here GoGo music and pay homage to a crack head ex-mayor. Do the people who did this interview realize that Australia is one of the most racist places on this planet and they love when they can get the “porch monkeys” to prove their point? Just promoting the idea all around the world that black Americans are useless. Nice job Natialie. Next time I have to go overseas and some European or Middle easterner is shocked that I speak well, have a job and don’t listen to rap/gogo music 24/7 and don’t have my boobs popping out or pants around my knees I will think of you for reinforcing the idea that lives overseas about black Americans
