MSBC 2011 Youth Retreat

Information Sheet

Please arrive at MSBC by 12:00 p.m. on July 1, 2011. We will return to MSBC at 1:00 p.m. on July 3, 2011.What: Weekend Youth Retreat

Who: MSBC Youth & Youth Staff

Where: Refreshing Mountain Camp INC

Dates: July 1-July 3, 2011

Cost: $48 (Payment due by May 29, 2011)

The cost of the retreat is $48 per person. This fee includes all meals and lodging for the conference center.

Youth Will Need:


–         2 Changes of Clothes (summer wear-jeans, sneakers, short sleeves shirts. (Parents please make sure that the youth clothing are modest)

–         Swimming Wear(Parents please make sure that the youth swimming wear are modest)

–         Sleep Wear or Lounging Wear  (Parents please make sure that the sleeping wear are modest)

–         Bed Linen, pillows, sheets blankets the whole nine yards

–         Toiletries (tooth brush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, lotion, hair supplies & other beauty needs)

–         Towel & Wash Cloth (shower shoes encouraged)

–         Insect repellent (if you wish)

–         Reading Material (for free time)

–         Flash Light (just in case)

 Youth Documents Needed:

All youth will need to return signed permission slip prior to or the day of the trip. If youth do not present this documentation, they will be unable to attend the retreat. (Permission can be pick up at the church on Sunday’s after 10:45 Services)

 Do Not Bring:

–         Portable DVD Payers, TV’s, Walkman, MP3 Players. I Pods

–         No Game boys or any Portable game devise

–         Non-Christian Material

–         BAD Attitudes

  • NO MOBILE PHONES WILL BE ALLOWED. Youth will be allowed to call home once we arrive at the retreat site. If you would like for your child to check-in with you on a certain day at a particular time, please notify the youth leaders with a written documentation included with the permission slip. A list of important numbers and youth ministry contact information is listed below. This is a retreat and we want the youth to keep that focus and not get distracted from their purpose; to build a closer relationship with God, themselves, and others.

 There Will Be NO:

–         No Drugs

–         No Alcohol

–         No Fighting

–         No Cursing

–         No Disrespect to Youth Leaders or peers

Each youth participant will be given a copy of the “Group Covenant” to review, sign, and return to Youth Department Leaders.
