TD Bank has opened a new location on Rhode Island Avenue NE at the entrance to Home Depot and Giant. Ms. Jada Thornton, Branch Manager, along with the Regional TD Bank Manager and other TD Bank Executives and employees were present to welcome the community. Council Member Harry and some of his staff as well as several ANC Commissioners were also present.
TD Bank on Constitution Square had agreed to support our efforts with National Night Out. Through Commissioner Bradley Thomas’s request, Ms. Jada Thornton has joined out National Night Out Planning Committee and TD Bank may also become the exclusive business sponsor for National Night Out on August 2, 2011. I presented Ms. Thornton with the proposal and request for the grant.
The Bates Area Civic Association currently banks with TD Bank and hope that some of our neighbors will also take an opportunity to learn about their banking services. We look forward to having TD Bank as our neighbor in these two great locations.
