I have been keeping with the DC Board of Elections and Ethics (DC BOEE) ‘ s  announcements of people who have picked up petitions for the open Ward 5 council seat.

  1. I attended this past Tuesday night’s first Ward 5 candidate forum at Lace Lounge. Ms. Robertson-King was one of the Ward 5 candidates who participated in the event. At the end of the forum, I adised her about this Bates Area Civic Assocation website and blog — and invited her to introduce herself to her immediate community. So perhaps we will hear from her soon.
