The Committee of the Whole will hold a public oversight roundtable on Economic Development Projects and Programs in Ward 5, on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Turkey Thicket Recreation Center (1100 Michigan Avenue NE).
The public oversight roundtable has two purposes: to allow the District government witnesses to inform Ward 5 residents about the economic development projects and programs occurring in their neighborhoods and to provide an opportunity for Ward 5 residents to testify on economic development matters and recommend areas for improvement.
Individuals and representatives of organizations who wish to testify at the public oversight roundtable are encouraged to register online. Individuals and representatives also may contact Priscilla McIver, administrative assistant to the Committee of the Whole, at 202-724-8196 or pford @ dccouncil.us, to register to testify. When registering, you must provide your name, address, telephone numbers, and organizational affiliations, if any. Registration will be open until close of business on Monday, February 20, 2012.
If you are unable to testify in-person, a written statement may be submitted and will be included as part of the official record. Copies of written statements should be delivered to the Committee of the Whole, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 508 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004 by Monday, February 20, 2012.
