I see that the DC Building Industry Association (DCBIA), along with the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development, is holding a Pre-Solicitation Workshop for a number of District properties.
“The Office of the Deputy Mayor intends to solicit proposals for as many as eight new development projects of varied scale before the end of the calendar year.”
One of the development project on the list is Northwest One at North Capitol Street and K Street NW — near the Bates area.

Any word recently about the proposed development at N. Capitol and Florida Ave(previously posted on BACA blog)? I recall there was a pending loan of some sort causing delays….
I assume that you are referring to the Joe Mamo empty lot on the northwest corner of North Capitol Street and Florida Avenue NW…? As far as I know, there is no news. Others may have an update.
Scott – that is correct. ANC issued an extension of the time for development to take place. There is no update on the securing of the financing to develop the property.
