I’m just seeing this notice about the SMD meeting this morning (Wednesday, April 10th). Can anybody who went to the meeting share with us what was discussed regarding the Mundo Verde Public Charter School?
Mundo Verde Public Charter School Executive Director Kristin Scotchmer spoke about the school getting the nod for the JF Cook School. She noted that the deal is contingent about council?/mayoral? approval. She distributed literature about the school. There were questions about student enrollment numbers now and projected into the future; about student drop-off and pick-up; whether there would be non-school uses at the building (such as housing — the response was no), if there would be church usage of the building — the response was no.) Ms. Scotchmer said that she would have building plans perhaps the next time.
