Hurrah!  Good news.  Cannot wait to see the DCRA raze permit issued to bulldoze the DC Housing Authority building, just a stroll from the Bates Area.

The D.C. Housing Authority has selected a team led by MRP Realty and CSG Urban Partners to redevelop its 2.5-acre North Capitol Street headquarters site as mixed-use, with a new facility for DCHA in addition to mixed-income residential.

The MRP/CSG joint venture was chosen to redevelop 1133 North Capitol St. NE over four competitors — CityInterests and CIM, the JBG Cos., Republic Properties and WC Smith, Akridge and Capstone. The review of the short-listed pitches took eight months.
