Associates for Renewal in Education has been a heart beat in the community for the past 20 years, servicing families and children in the historic Slater school building at 45 P street NW. While working closely with the District, ARE has been responsible for the maintenance and constructive upkeep of the historical building. With all of the renovation and rehabilitation in our surrounding community, ARE now looks and at times have been considered the eye sore aesthetically, but in spite of its outside appearance, its need for windows, brick work and dome repair, ARE continues to provide quality before and after care services, exciting therapeutic summer camp / after school services for Autistic youth , residential services for youth and wrap around services for families.
