This Saturday, July 9, 10:00: Meeting w/ DDOT and other DC agencies at 27 O St NW

Good Afternoon Friends and Neighbors:

In response to mounting issues with traffic, parking, criminal activity and abuses by building contractors, the Hanover Area Civic Association, through its Vice President Mr. Leon Braddell, has called for an emergency summit with several other D.C. agencies, including the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), the Department of Public Works (DPW), the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and the Executive Office of the Mayor (EOM) to take place on Saturday, July 9th, at the House of Lebanon, 27 O Street, N.W. That meeting is scheduled for 10:00 am and all residents of our Single Member District 5E05 (both Hanover Area and Bates Area) are invited to attend.

Also, for those who are particularly interested in our traffic and parking issues, we are scheduled to meet with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) on Thursday, July 28th. If you are a member of the Traffic Safety Task Force or the Neighborhood Parking Task Force, or if you wish to join or even help out temporarily with the efforts of one of those two task forces to address our traffic and parking problems, you are invited to attend that meeting as well. The meeting will take place at DDOT’s offices at 55 M Street, S.W. It’s close to the Nationals Park baseball stadium and very close to the Navy Yark-Ballpark Metrorail Station on the Green Line. The time will be late afternoon or early evening.

Please put those dates on your calendars.

Thanks.

Bradley A. Thomas
Commissioner-ANC5E05
