Subject: [MPD-5D] Weapon recovery and arrest
A Fifth District officer heard gun fire emanating 1st and N Street NW. The officer responded and observed two black male subject fleeing. He then observed one of the subject throw a weapon on First Street NW. The second subject Black Male 18-21 years of age, facial hair fled West on N Street NW. The officer stopped the subject who threw the weapon an arrest the Juvenile Subject. Additional Fifth District Units arrived and they located a crime scene and a second weapon (firearm). The Fifth District units performed excellently. I applaud their outstanding effort in removing two firearms from our community and a dangerous law violator. Their professionalism is commended.
