Dear Residents/ANCs,
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will begin repair work on North Capitol St. NW from Massachusetts Ave. to Florida Ave. on or about August 6, 2018.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by August 27, 2018, if weather permits.
The work will include milling and paving beginning at N. Capitol St. NW and Massachusetts Ave. In order to keep the inconvenience to residents, businesses and their customers to a minimum, the repair work will be done during non-rush hours only.
The contractor is authorized to work Monday-Fridays from 8:00pm-5:00am<x-apple-data-detectors://4> and Saturdays from 7:00am-7:00pm.
During construction, at least one lane of road will be open to traffic in each direction. However, curbside parking will not be allowed on some blocks of N. Capitol St. during the construction working days.
Parking restriction signs will be posted at least 72 hours in advance at locations where parking will not be allowed. These signs will notify the duration of “No Parking”, dates of “No Parking” and contact information of the engineer in charge.
