Subject: [MPD-5D] Unarmed Carjacking
Good evening,
Earlier today 5D detectives were notified of an unarmed carjacking that occurred today at 1200 hours in the 200 Block of Bates RD NW. The victim was sitting in his vehicle parked at the location when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect demanded money, but the victim had no money. The suspect told the victim that he had a gun but did not display a weapon. The suspect then demanded the victim’s car. The suspect stole the vehicle and fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
