Subject: Medical Marijuana Facility Renewal Applications

Good Morning All:

Attached is the letter I just received from the Department of Health (DOH) regarding the renewal applications of seven medical marijuana facilities in Ward 5.  As far as I can tell, only one of them is located in ANC5E, that being Capital City Care at North Capitol and O Streets, N.W., in my Single Member District, ANC5E05.  If any affected persons have any comments or concerns that they think ANC5E should voice to DOH, we have until ANC5E’s public meeting two weeks from today, on October 16, 2018, to bring them to the fore.  The deadline for the ANC to submit comments of concern or, for that matter, in support of Capital City Care, is October 31, 2018, as indicated on the attached letter.  In order for those comments to be accepted by DOH, however, they would have to be voted on and approved at ANC5E’s next public meeting, the date of which is October 16th.

This message is being sent openly to all commissioners of ANC5E and blindly to all residents of ANC5E05 for whom I have e-mail addresses.  If you know of residents who might not be on my distribution list, please share this information with them.
