Subject: [MPD-3d] PSA 308 Meet and Greet

On Friday March 1, 2019 members from 3D hosted a Meet and Greet at the New York Ave Rec Center. Lt Dawn Anu Amen Ra arranged patrol members to stop by the rec center to meet members of the community and get to know the area. Sergeant David Poe had officers stop by to introduce themselves and learn from the community the issues and what to expect from the area. Rec center specialists Alexa Foster and Ashura Goines arranged the chairs to be in a circle. Officers that attended were Kwamena Yarney, Shala Ellis, Brayan Sanchez, Barry Smith, and Patrick Olanrewaju. Residents, DPR staff, and MPD introduced themselves and started to collaborate on issues affecting the area. The meeting was highly productive, and officers walked away with good information.
