I am posting this agenda for tomorrow evening’s Bloomingdale Civic Association meeting, since the meeting agenda now includes a presentation by the Latin American Youth Center.
At the recent DC Council hearing on LAYC/YouthBuild’s plans for the J.F. Cook School, then-Council Chair Gray indicated that LAYC/YouthBuild needed to get out more into the community with their plans, since it appeared that perhaps not enough community outreach had been performed. Note that LAYC made its presence known at the January 2011 ANC 5C meeting, too.
In any event – FYI for Bates area residents.
From ANC 5C04 Commissioner John Salatti:
ANC 5C Commissioners John Salatti, James Fournier, & Hugh Youngblood invite you to the January 2011 meeting of the Bloomingdale Civic Association.
Among the items on the Agenda:
· Election of Officers for 2011
· Elimination of the bus stops at 2nd & RI Ave NW (Personnel from WMATA will be present for Q & A)
· Presentation about the Latin American Youth Center`s plans for the Cook School on the unit block of P Street, NW
The Civic Association provides a great opportunity for all residents to get involved in the neighborhood, build community, solve problems, and have fun. Come make a difference!
