Kwame: special ANC 5C meeting at CAPCS this Tuesday

DC Council Chair Kwame Brown sent out an e-newsletter this evening.

One item in his e-newsletter reports on a special ANC 5C meeting this Tuesday at CAPCS, 1400 1st St NW, on ” ongoing legislative activities.”

Ensuring Continued Service to Ward 5 Residents

We ended our week on a somber note with the resignation of Ward 5 Councilmember Harry Thomas, Jr. I want to reassure members of the Ward 5 community that there are five At-Large members available to serve your needs. I am committed to ensuring that you receive the highest level of constituent services without interruption.

Until a special election can be held to select your new representative, I have directed my staff to initiate special constituent and outreach services. Phone lines and email have been redirected to my office to facilitate your requests.

On Tuesday, January 10 at 7:00 pm, Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5C will host a community meeting at CAPCS located at 1400 First Street, NW with all ANC commissioners, civic associations, education council and business representatives, and interested residents to discuss ongoing legislative activities.

For more information, please contact Charles Mason, Director of Constituent Services at (202) 724-8140 or cmason@dccouncil.us.
