Happy New Year!
Goodbye 2014, I’ll never forget you, but am thankful to be in the present moment of 2015!
2014 was a year of healing and transformation for me. A year ago I suffered an injury that resulted in a serious concussion. After a few dark weeks, I made a choice to spend lots of time with the waves, learning to appreciate the basic beauty in life. I found peace and inspiration in the Mayan Yucatan Peninsula, studying yoga, meditation and color theory. The year got better as the months progressed and the benefits of healthy life style changes began to integrate my mind, body and spirit. Summer brought along more waves as I participated in Transformer’s, Promised Land artist residency and beach boardwalk exhibition in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Then Fall brightened my life when the Washington Post Magazine Sunday Home & Design Issue featured me on their coverI am grateful for all these high and low tides of the past year, and for the strength to heal and love myself. Currently, the New Year finds me near my ancestral farm on an artistic retreat at my cousin’s, Keith Fritz Fine Furniture, in southern Indiana. It’s been a perfect place to quiet the mind and reflect on all that has led me to this very moment in time. Thank you for reading and may you have a healthy and mindful year ahead full of positive intentions. With love, Lisa Marie xo

Lisa Marie Studio Named Best Live-Work Space in Washington DC’s Urban Turf. “The way I live and move my furniture and the paintings around really has a lot to do with my creative process,” she explained. “Let’s say I’m just cooking dinner. I can still look at my work while I’m doing that, so I’m always working because of what I am seeing and thinking about.” Click here to read more.
Lisa Marie is currenlty working on a new series of Rainbow Warrior paintings and Rainbow Network Mantra drawings inspired by her travels to indigenous communities in the Americas, her yoga practice, study of the body chakras and experience with energy medicine.
