Good Morning and Happy New Year!
On 12/31/2018, the Fifth District’s Crime Suppression Team conducted proactive patrol within the Fifth District, to help ensure a safe and enjoyable New Year Celebration for all those who live, work, and play in the Fifth District. Their efforts resulted in the arrest of four (4) adults, and the recovery of five (5) illegal firearms. A synopsis of their activity is outlined below:
On 12/31/2018, at approximately 4:22 PM, Officers were patrolling the 1400 block of First Street, NW, on foot, when they discovered a loaded FN 57 firearm. The firearm was found unattended, and this case is currently under investigation.
